FSSC 22000 is a food safety certification that combines the ISO 22000 standard, prerequisite programs (PRPs), and specific additional requirements. It helps companies manage risks such as fraud, food defense, allergens, quality, and environmental monitoring. The most recent versions also include food waste reduction, in line with ONU goals. It is a standard recognized by the GFSI, which promotes food safety throughout the supply chain.

Gender Equality is one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals set by the UN (Goal 5); since 2024 Bonifanti has been certified for Gender Equality, according to the UNI/PdR 125:2022 standard. By adopting specific KPIs related to gender equality policies that allow the measurement, reporting, and evaluation of gender-related data, with the aim of closing the currently existing gaps, as well as incorporating the new paradigm concerning gender equality into the company’s DNA and producing a sustainable and lasting change over time.

The Italian Excellence Institute (Istituto Eccellenze Italiane) certifies the product, through strict sensory controls that establish its quality, value, and stability over time.

After the first success in 2010, every year Bonifanti has added new acknowledgement to the Great Taste Award as proof and guarantee of the absolute and constant quality of its products. In 2025, the latest edition of the award, with blind tastings of over 10.000 different products, the Panettone Marron Glacé won the precious gold star and the Panettone Glassato two gold stars.
